        August Record for Subaru

        Subaru achieved record August sales of 3230 vehicles, according to official VFACTS figures released today.

        The result places Subaru sales 24.1 per cent ahead of last August and up 13.0 per cent Year-to-Date (YTD).

        Forester was also the best-selling vehicle in Tasmania last month across all categories, with sales of 82 - up 228 per cent on last August.

        Also impressive was Outback with 448 sales nationally – 166.7 per cent up for the month and 134.7 YTD.

        Liberty (Legacy) sales of 429 were 59.5 per cent up for the month and 55.5 per cent YTD.

        Sales of 868 Imprezas and 79 Tribecas rounded out the result.

        Subaru regional sales are also impressive – the brand commanded a massive 11.2 per cent of the Tasmanian market in August and 8.1 per cent YTD.

        Market share in the ACT was 6.5 per cent for the month and 6.1 per cent YTD, while NSW is also performing strongly, with a 5.2 per cent share for August and 5.4 per cent YTD.

        Nick Senior, Managing Director, Subaru Australia, said: “With revised WRX and WRX STI about to hit the showrooms, there continues to be significant interest in our All-Wheel Drive range.”
