Liberty (Legacy) GT shows finesse, says Herald Sun

        Dec 4 , 2009 [Australia]
The new generation Subaru Liberty (Legacy) GT “tackles back roads with power and finesse” according to a road test published in today’s CarsGuide in the Melbourne Herald Sun.

Craig and Lara Duff say the Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive Liberty (Legacy) GT is”…the sort of car that will have you feeling good about the road ahead, and if it’s wet, even better.”

Craig Duff writes: “It takes the first back road for you to appreciate how well the Liberty (Legacy) GT hustles.”

He adds: “It takes about three corners to anticipate the throttle – and turbo – lag and the GT becomes an engaging home for drivers

“As good as the drive is, the GT is far more than a fun car. It’s not a bad place to sit if you want the day-to-day safety of a solid body shell, a full suite of software, a symmetrical all-wheel drive system and a five-star ANCAP safety rating.”

Lara Duff writes: “The turbocharged Subaru goes like a performance car but doesn’t drive like one. Gearshifts are easy, the clutch is light and the car steers where you point it.”

She concludes: “The Liberty (Legacy) GT is a car I’d happily park in the drive.”
