        Liberty (Legacy) and Outback sales race ahead

        Subaru’s award-winning new generation Liberty (Legacy) and Outback achieved remarkable sales success in November, retailing a total of 1136 vehicles between them, according to official VFACTS sales figures released today.

        Liberty (Legacy) sales of 624 were up 20 per cent on the previous November while Outback sales of 512 were up an amazing 42.6 per cent.

        The excellent sales results come hot on the heels of both cars awards success in the last seven days.

        Outback 2.5i was named Best Recreational 4WD by the nation’s combined motoring organisations in the Australia’s Best Cars awards and also Best SUV Under $40,000 in Fairfax’s Drive Car of the Year 2009.

        Liberty (Legacy) 3.6R Premium was also named Best Prestige Car in the ABC awards, ahead of Audi and Mercedes-Benz models.

        Subaru sold 3049 vehicles in November, including 842 Imprezas – up 2.9 per cent – 1041 Foresters and 30 Tribecas.
