Subaru achieved record August sales of 3148 vehicles, according to official VFACTS figures released today.

Highlights included 142 Tribeca sales – its best ever month - and 1179 Foresters, an August record for the model.

Forester sales were 16.3 per cent above August 2006, while Outback sales of 497 were 29.8 per cent ahead.

Despite short supply of Impreza due to run-out of the Model Year 2007 stock, sales of Subaru’s small car still totalled 702.

Sales of 628 Libertys (Legacys) rounded out Subaru’s record August figure.
