Jul 4 , 2007 [Australia]
Subaru achieved an all-time monthly sales record of 4085 vehicles in June, according to official VFACTS figures released today.

It was the first time three Subaru models sold more than 1000 in one month, with Forester (1143), Impreza (1097) and Liberty (Legacy) (1022) all exceeding four figures.

It was also the best month for Liberty (Legacy) sales since July 1991, when it sold 1135. Sales of the model were a massive 36.8 per cent ahead of the previous June.

Subaru’s June market share was 3.9 per cent. The result was 4.7 per cent ahead of June 2006.

Sales were strong across all five core models - Outback had its strongest month this year, with 705 sales, while Tribeca sold 118.

Nick Senior, Managing Director, Subaru Australia, said: “With sales for the first six months of 19,556 we are still on track to achieve 10 consecutive years of annual sales records.”
