Subaru has achieved record first quarter sales of 9114 units, according to official VFACTS figures released today.

Subaru sales of 3149 vehicles last month included a March record of 775 Libertys.

The monthly total takes Subaru's year-to-date market share to 3.8 per cent.

Liberty (Legacy) sales were 112 units ahead of the same month last year.

Also performing strongly were Forester with 971 sales and Impreza with 850.

Outback sales of 553 units combined with Forester to give Subaru a commanding 22 per cent of the SUV Compact segment year-to-date.
