October sales records for the Subaru Forester and Impreza have given the brand a 3.7 per cent market share for the month and year-to-date, according to official VFACTS figures released today.
Forester sold 999, making it the best seller in the Compact SUV market segment for the month and year-to-date. Combined with 411 Outback sales, this gave Subaru a dominant 27.2 per cent of the segment in October.
A record October Impreza total of 805 came in the first full month of sales for the Model Year 2006 Impreza range, which includes 2.5 litre engines for Impreza WRX and WRX STI, and the new 2.0R variant.
Liberty(Legacy) sales of 632 helped Subaru to a monthly total of 2847 vehicles and 30,329 year-to-date.
