Best March ever for Subaru Canada

Apr 1 , 2004 [Canada]
(MISSISSAUGA) - It was the best March ever for Subaru Canada, Inc., with total monthly retails of 1,341 representing a 3.9 per cent increase over March of last year.

Demand for Subaru products was dominated by the 2004 Impreza, with sales of that model up 37.1 per cent compared to last March.

"Subaru is delighted to achieve a record month when automotive sales in general are struggling," said Norio Osakabe, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Subaru Canada, Inc. "Customer response to the new Impreza lineup has been extremely enthusiastic. We have every confidence that drivers will be equally excited about the all-new Legacy and Outback, scheduled to arrive in dealerships this June."

Subaru Canada, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. of Japan. Headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario, the company markets and distributes Subaru vehicles, parts and accessories through a network of 100 franchised dealers across Canada.
