The Subaru Forester XS Luxury Pack is given equal top billing in a comparison published in the motoring section of today's edition of The Australian newspaper.

The Australian conducted a road test of the new Mitsubishi Outlander XLS and then rated it against three competitors: Forester XS Luxury Pack, Honda CR-V Sport and Nissan X-Trail Ti Luxury.

Forester and X-Trail each rated four stars overall, while CR-V and Outlander rated three and-a-half.

For Performance, Forester and CR-V rated four stars, Outlander three and-a-half and X-Trail four and-a-half.

On value, Forester and X-Trail rated three stars, while Outlander and CR-V rated three and-a-half.
