Subaru sales of 2523 vehicles in March have given the brand its best-ever first quarter result, according to official VFACTS sales figures.

Sales from January to the end of March were 6922.

Top performer for Subaru in March was Forester, with 1017 sales. This represents its strongest-ever March result and equates to 16.5 per cent of the Sport Utility Vehicle Compact sales segment. Combined with Outback sales of 423 in March, this gives Subaru a commanding 23.4 per cent of the segment.

Impreza sales remained consistently strong with 666 units, while Liberty (Legacy) retailed 417 vehicles.
