Cody Crocker's win in the Subaru Rally of Canberra made a perfect end to the weekend for around 500 fans who had joined in the 2003 Subaru Festival.
Spectator stages at the rally were dominated by Subaru supporters, many of whom had travelled long distance to Canberra to join in the Festival activities.
They demonstrated their generosity by donating $4,000 at a charity auction on Saturday night to aid the Canberra Bush Fire Appeal. Items included a ride on one of the Canberra rally forest stages today with Cody Crocker.
Festival participants had access to exclusive spectator and parking areas and night-time barbecues during the Super Special stages at Fairbairn Motorsports Park on Friday and Saturday.
They were also briefed on progress by Subaru Rally Team Australia drivers Cody, Dean Herridge, and their respective co-drivers Greg Foletta and Glenn MacNeall.
The festival was expanded this year to appeal to all Subaru owners and fans – it had previously been known as the Impreza WRX Festival.
Around 80 Subarus were photographed from the air early yesterday morning with old and new Parliament Houses as a backdrop.
