Cody Crocker has taken his Subaru Impreza WRX STi to first position at the official shakedown for this weekend's Falken Tyres Rally Queensland.

Crocker set the quickest time over the short stage in the shadow of the Glasshouse Mountains, a full 0.6 seconds ahead of his nearest rival, Michael Thompson.

While the result doesn't count for the actual rally, which gets underway in earnest on Saturday morning (9:20 EAT), it demonstrates that both driver and car are in good form.
