Performance Subaru in Hobart, Tasmania, is hosting The Subaru Experience at the city's Baskerville Raceway this weekend (16-17 August).

Following the huge success of previous similar events at Baskerville, Performance Subaru Dealer Principal John Pooley and his team have devised an action-packed programme to highlight Subaru's advantages.
These include skid-pan demonstrations of the capabilities of Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, compared to popular front and rear-wheel drive cars.

Subaru rally aces Cody Crocker and Dean Herridge will also take some lucky participants on laps of Baskerville in Impreza WRXs and STis.

Cody will attend tomorrow (Saturday) and Dean on Sunday.

There's a hill climb on steep, unsealed roads, to highlight the abilities of Subaru's recreational vehicles, the Forester and Outback.

Demonstrations of Subaru ABS braking capability will also take place on a slalom course.

Performance Subaru is using the occasion for a local launch of the latest addition to the range, the turbocharged Forester XT.

Mr Pooley said: "We've got new and used car displays, a merchandise and accessory shop and there's the opportunity to win a shopping trip for two to Melbourne.

"We've also got a free barbecue and soft drinks and kids activities too, so it's an event for all the family."

The Subaru Experience is open at Baskerville Raceway, Hobart from 10-4pm, Saturday and Sunday.
