"Here lies one of the truly great cars of this era." So says the latest edition of Wheels magazine of the just launched Model Year 2004 Liberty (Legacy) GT, in the October edition out now.

Rating the Liberty (Legacy) GT wagon four and-a-half stars, the report says: "The Liberty (Legacy) GT's effective combination of sports-car performance and dynamics with medium-size practicality, Subaru resale and reliability, and an indefinable element of desirability elevates it to near iconic status."

In its road test report on the Liberty (Legacy) 2.5i Premium Pack sedan and the Liberty (Legacy) GT wagon, Wheels says: "Put simply, this is a wonderful car, a landmark achievement for Subaru, and one that genuinely establishes it as a global force."
