Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. adds the high performance WRX STi series, to its Impreza range.

The WRX STi series boasts improved driving performance while maintaining its ease of daily use by featuring a newly developed highly rigid six-speed manual transmission, a new specially designed engine, large intercooler and strut suspension with inverted type dampers. Its potential as a motor sport vehicle has been enhanced by these advances in feed-back, control and predictability.

Safety and environmental elements are also taken into account. Total safety performance is ensured with higher driving stability and impact absorption functions, while a powerful, ecology-minded engine demonstrates improved fuel efficiency and cleaner exhaust emissions.

The Impreza STi has been a popular high performance road car in the Japanese domestic market since January 1994. This was when the first Impreza WRX STi - with its refined engine and suspension - was launched by Subaru Tecnica International Inc. (STI), FHI's subsidiary specializing in motor sport.

To commemorate the debut of STi series to European market, special version model, STi "Prodrive Style" is in included in the line up.
Equipped with the exclusive exterior items, that are specially designed by Prodrive's Mr. Peter Stevens, the designer of Subaru WR Car 2001, this model further adds the excitement of World Rally Championship to standard STi model.
