The National American Red Cross presented Subaru of America, Inc. with the prestigious Circle of Humanitarians Award in June 2006. The award expresses the gratitude of the National American Red Cross to corporations that contribute gifts in excess of $50,000. It is considered one of the highest honors bestowed in recognition of corporate citizenship.

Specifically, SOA was commended for its donations to the Tsunami Relief Fund, the Hurricane Relief Fund, and the local Red Cross chapter in Camden County, New Jersey.
